Digital Divide Data (DDD) takes on the challenge of converting your firms’ hard-copy data (and microfilm) to electronic documents that can be searched, indexed, re-formatted, and organized into dynamic, manageable, live information assets. We don’t just preserve your documents, we make them useable. We don’t just format data, we make it accessible. The materials are electronically scanned at your office or at a nearby location. Once captured, the files are converted to a digitized format using DDD’s proprietary software. Then the content is validated and entered into a tailored database, or other customer-specific format, such as ASCII, HTML, XML, etc. DDD delivers converted data securely and reliably to customers, who can now make information available to the rest of the legal team, the client and/or the court for the first time. DDD also provides the ability to easily add new information when it becomes available. And equally important: Our customers receive reliable, accurate results at a lower cost than either they, or other data conversion companies, can provide. Markup/Tagging We can provide consistently well-formed tags for a wide variety of Document Type Definitions (DTD), in several coding formats, including SGML, XML, and HTML. We can code to TEI or help you develop a customized tagging scheme. Scanning Services We offer high-volume scanning services from a variety of source material types.
