My name is Pal Sopheaktra. I was born on 4 April 1980 in Sangkat Khan Doun Penh, Phnom Penh. I live with my mother, I have no father. He died in 1989. I have four siblings, I'm the second child in the family. My mother takes responsibility in the whole family, she tries to earn money to support the whole family. From day to day my family becomes miserable, because only my mother makes money for the family.

When I finished 8th grade at Wat Phnom School my whole family was faced with financial problems so I had to stop studying because my mother lacked money. On the other hand my school was far away from my house. I went to school by wheelchair and my friend always picked me up and drop me off. If I do not have my friend to go somewhere with me I can not do anything, because I got polio when I was three years old by injection. I knew one friend who is disabled like me and who studied at Wat Than. I too was supported by Wat Than.

Now I work in Digital Divide Data it is my first job and I will try all my best to do it. I like this job very much, because it is favorable toward disabled people like me. This Organization will teach English to the employees to increase their knowledge. I have the skills for this job and it gives me security. This job is good and the director takes care of the typists. I think it is good for my future so I will work hard to get better from day to day.
