My name is Horn Leap. I was born on 2 January 1981 to
a farmer's family in Khom Kon Chey, Srok Oreang Ouve Kompong Cham Province in
the East of Cambodia.
My father name is Ly Kimhorn and my mother, Toam Chen Seang is a
house wife and she also helps my father work.
I studied there through 8th grade and then had to stop studying
because my school is so far from my house.
After three years my cousin called me to come to Phnom Penh for
selling at Orussey market. I moved to Phnom Penh to help my cousin sell in the
market part time and I studied English language at CVCD, Cambodian Volunteers
for Community Development Organization.
I live with my brothers, I'm the third child in the family. My
first brother is a policeman in the Ministry of Interior and my second brother
is a security guard at Mobitel Company.
I was trained in computers by CVCD. Now I work at Digital Divide
Data. This is the first job for me and I can not believe that I can work here,
because I did not have any certificate. Now all the ministries and companies
really need the qualified people to work for them, but Digital Divide Data
hired me to work and luckily I could earn money without taking money from my
brother and sister.
I would like to thank the managers of Digital Divide Data who have
supported me and gave me the chance to work.
